One Year Without Dozer

I mentioned previously that Covid was not the worst thing to happen to us last summer. The worst thing, the thing we in many ways feared the most, was losing our precious pup Dozer one year ago today. It was quick, and he behaved like a puppy until the last few days. Someone had even asked if he was a puppy just earlier that week.

I’d hoped to share many more of his perambulations with you. His favorite thing was to explore the world. He taught me a great lesson, how to deeply be present in the moment. I think of him every time I take a walk.

Dozer also taught us to be a family. We are still devastated and miss him every day.

He was fourteen years old. He was the bestest boy. He was everything.
