“The Science of Ahsoka” at Los Angeles Comic Con!
Star Wars was a formative experience for me. Since 1977, my mind and heart has been in a galaxy far, far away. I played with lightsabers as a child and wrote my doctoral dissertation to John Williams’ amazing music. If you’d told me then I would still have new Star Wars characters to love at my current age, I wouldn’t have believed you.
How lucky I am, because Ahsoka Tano and the Star Wars: Rebels family have become some of my favorite fictional characters of all time.
(And Rebels is the best of all Star Wars. You may disagree, but you are wrong. *ahem*)
So, imagine how excited I was to watch the Ahsoka series. In addition to continuing the stories of beloved characters, the series introduced new characters, new creatures, new planets, and a new galaxy! With those introductions come new questions: How do the Purrgil travel in hyperspace? Could space whales exist? How does celestial navigation occur in the Star Wars universe?
