Hello! My name is Lisa Will, and I am a science communicator in San Diego. I am a professor of astronomy and physics at San Diego City College, a community college in downtown San Diego. I am also the Resident Astronomer at the Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park.
I earned my BS in Astrophysics from UCLA and my Ph.D. in Physics from Arizona State University. I have researched the nature of dust grains in space and innovations in astronomy education. I am obsessed with Star Wars, the MCU, and Doctor Who and have participated in “Science of” panels at San Diego Comic-Con and Star Wars Celebration, as well as other pop culture conventions.
